(Blog 2) The Big Problem

Spyder finds the abandoned sticker factory.

(Continued from our last post…)

Spyder found a sticker factory and fell in love with the idea of having his own business.

BUT SPYDER HAD ONE BIG PROBLEM. The machines were old, rusted, and missing parts. The factory had no power. And Spyder? He really had no idea how the machines actually made the stickers.

But if there was one thing Spyder knew how to do and that was solve mysteries. The mystery of turning this abandoned wreck into a thriving sticker business was one challenge he couldn’t resist. Being a smart dragon, he knew he must ask for help. He thought, “My FRIENDS must help me! We can do this together.”

First to mind was Lima, the youngest of the group. Lima’s creativity was unmatched; she had a way of coming up with the wildest, most colorful ideas. Spyder imagined her running around the factory, dreaming up designs like dragons with skateboards, wearing funny costumes, or space dragons. “She’d fill this place with ideas faster than I could keep up,” Spyder thought as he began to smile.

Then there was Calisto, the sharp and talented one. Calisto wasn’t just good with computers, she was an awesome critical thinker and paid attention to details, which he admired most about her. Spyder pictured her expertly using stamps, ink rollers, and even the old mechanical presses in the factory. She’d be the perfect person to turn Lima’s wild ideas into real designs, ready for printing. “With Calisto here, we’d have designs that looked as good as the ones in the best shops in town,” Spyder thought.

And he couldn’t leave out Pip, Spyder’s best friend. Pip loved exploring, tinkering, and poking around. He always seemed to keep a positive attitude. Pip could fix anything if he could just sit with it long enough, but sometimes sitting still was Pip’s most difficult task. Spyder imagined Pip running between machines, fiddling with gears, or uncovering hidden treasures in forgotten corners of the factory. “He might get a little too carried away,” Spyder admitted to himself, “but he’d make this adventure a lot more exciting.”

Spyder was already feeling more confident. His friends were the perfect team in his mind. With their creativity, skills, and endless curiosity, this could be something amazing. Now, all he had to do was figure out how to get them involved…
