Meet Perrie Hauteur

Perrie Hauteur is a rigid dragon of rules and order, qualities that make him an exceptional compliance officer. Tasked with ensuring Wing Tails Sticker Studio had all the necessary permits before opening day, his colleagues don’t recognize that his personal connection to the original factory has created a conflict of interest. Enforcing unnecessary red tape for Spyder, he makes the process far more grueling than it needed to be ultimately delaying Opening Day and causing Spyder, Calisto, and Lima to improvise last minute plans for a house warming event.

In Perrie’s mind he believes it is his responsibility to test whether or not Spyder is worthy of reopening the factory. Perrie believes he is saving Spyder from the eventual fail that the original owners suffered in the factory’s prior glory days. In reality, he exercises an abuse of power to enforce a permit on Wing Tails Sticker Studio beyond what the law required. When his superiors found out, Perrie is fired from his job.

Now, stripped of his position and forced to reckon with his choices, Perrie faces an uncertain future. He doesn’t have many friends, and he’s not sure he needs them. He doesn’t do small talk. He doesn’t do nonsense. What he does do is lose himself in the workings of fictitious magical worlds filled with ancient knowledge and mystical order. Although not a part of his real world in Scalesville, he finds comfort in the structure of spells and the illusion of control afforded to old-world magic, unlike the unpredictable chaos of everyday life. Deep down, although he’d never admit it, he longs for a place where he truly belongs, whether in this world or another.
