(Blog 5) Naming the Business
…Spyder discovered an abandoned sticker factory on the outskirts of town. Driven by his love for solving mysteries but ready for a life change, he decides to leave his career as an investigator and work to revive the abandoned factory. Knowing he didn’t have a clue about sticker creation, he began to build a team of talented dragons starting with Lima, a young creative dragon, skilled in drawing, with whom he has also tasked with naming the factory. Calisto was his second recruit. She is an old college friend who is free-spirited, but head strong and incredibly skilled in many creative trades…

Lima’s mom ladled creamy cow broth soup into her daughter’s bowl and then into her own. Her gazed was fixed upon Lima with an inquisitive and slightly concerned stare. She carried both bowls and sat across from Lima at their small vintage wooden table. Deep in thought, Lima hardly noticed the soup placed right under her nose.
“You’ve been awfully quiet tonight, sweet girl,” her mom said, breaking the silence. “What’s keeping your mind in thought?”
Lima sighed, slowly stirring the soup with her claw. “Mom, this is so hard…
It’s the factory. Spyder asked me to come up with a name, and I just… I can’t seem to get it right. Nothing feels good enough, and I’m too nervous to tell him any of my ideas.”
Her mom leaned forward and reached her hand out to caress the scales on Lima’s arm.
“You don’t have to do this alone. Didn’t Spyder hire Calisto to work with you?”
Lima nodded. “He did, but Calisto is… Calisto’s so confident and creative. What if she thinks my ideas are silly?”
Her mom responded with firm reassurance. “You’ve told me how sweet Calisto has been to you. She’s there to work with you, not against you. Why don’t you reach out to her and see if she’ll brainstorm with you?”
Lima hesitated, then nodded slowly. “I suppose we are going to be working together alot. I’ll text her after dinner.”
